Marvel Aftermath History:- These are the events that are Canon : Civil War, House of M, Messiah Complex, Super Nova’s, Endsong, Warsong, Childhood’s End, Endangered Species. All events taken place before March 8, 2008 should be taken as factual and canon. If a character has been known to have died before March 8, 2008 (Messiah Complex Arc) then they are still dead. A List will be made below.
- Key notes to list: The Superhuman Registration Act (S.R.A.) has been passed. Mutants that were de-powered at the House of M are still un-powered (this has not changed, only certain variables have*reason below). Anyone who is Unregistered and caught using powers of any sort will be fined for their first offense. The second offense will entail a stricter fine and deemed that the mutant or superhuman must register. This means all their life is opened to the public. They have a number and their popularity will both slide and raise in one way or another. If there should be a third offense the mutant or superhuman in question will be incarcerated.
- X-Men Black (The Unofficial X-Force) had been under the Command of both Cyclops [Scott Summers] and Wolverine [James ‘Logan’ Howlett]. The initial team consisted of Wolverine, Wolfsbane [Rahne Sinclair], Warpath [James Proudstar], X-23 [Laura Kinney], Caliban (Deceased), and Hepzibah. This team is not sanctioned officially by the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning but is governed in private still.
- Cyclops is now dead. During the early stages of X-Men Black, professional conflicts with Wolverine eventually became personal issues and Wolverine finally took that step too far. Behind Wolverine’s back, Cyclops had been giving Missions to X-23 and using her as the weapon she was created to be. The first major incident against Matthew Risman being the key starter. After the incident that resulted in Cyclops’ death, Wolverine felt that he was not fit to be a good model as the team’s leader, so he resigned his position and left the team.
- Alliances crumbled and split apart at the seams. The Avengers became the government’s enforcer team to make sure that all super humans were registered or in prison for refusal of it. Freedom Fighters of all sorts popped up out of the woodwork. Teams that included the new X-Men teams; X-Men, Young X-Men, & X-Men Black.
- With Cyclops dead, the White Queen [Emma Frost] maintained the reins of the X-Academy (Xavier Institute of Higher Learning) until a Danger Room Sabotage initiated by Mystique resulted in Frost being killed. Mystique then posed as the White Queen for a short time. The Cuckoos discovered her ruse and after Mystique’s escape there was a great deal of conflict on who would be able to run the Academy or if it would just be closed. One year was spent with the school in hiatus as personnel changes were a major problem.
- Katherine Pryde [Shadowcat] eventually took up the role of Headmistress of the X-Academy. Santo Vaccaro [Rockslide], Noriko Ashida [Surge], David Alleyne [Prodigy], Phoebe Cuckoo [Three-in-One], and Mindee Cuckoo [Three-in-One], were among many new instructors to join on after their graduation. Some of the original staff were kept on, and some were brought back by Headmistress Pryde believing that they were valuable assets. (Danielle Moonstar [Psyche], Amara Aquilla [Magma], Jubilation Lee [Jubilee], etc.) With Kitty in charge of the Academy, it is now backed by SHIELD.
- Celeste Cuckoo took Emma Frost’s death very hard. In homage to her former mentor, she changed her last name to Frost then severed her ties to her sisters and the X-Academy. Choosing to take on the role of the White Queen II, she joined the Hellfire Club.
- The Hellfire Club suffered a substantial loss when Sebastian Shaw was eliminated by his Black Rook, Roberto DaCosta [Sunspot], who attempted to pull a hostile takeover. DaCosta , in turn, was overthrown (eliminated) by Julian Keller, [Hellion] who had been nominated by Emma Frost as her Black Knight [-A lot of Strings were pulled-]. The mutant/superhuman status of the Hellfire Club’s members is still held secret, though politically the Club stands on the sidelines when it comes to the SRA. The New York City branch is a gentleman’s club with an underground strip club (employing telepathic strippers) and a casino open to the very elite whose memberships are kept very secret. Julian Keller is the current Lord Imperial of the Hellfire Club.
